Albert “Al” Wills

Albert “Al” Wills, 85, of Greenville, MO, passed away Friday, June 12, 2020, at his residence. He was born August 9, 1934, to parents Henry William and Orba (Massey) Wills.

Al was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. On April 12, 1952, he married Anita Rose and to this union two children were born. Al was a Christian and a longtime member of Kime General Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Wayne County Historical Society. He worked for Glidden Paint Company, Brown Shoe, Thompson Auto Sales, for the last thirty-two years, he was found greeting and consoling families of his community while working at Ruegg Funeral Homes, Inc. Al was never at a loss for words and always had a story to tell. Al proudly served his country in the United States Army. Family was very important to Al. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Oliver “J.O.,” Leo, Charles, and David Wills; and his sisters, Ethel Wills, Pauline Parks, Mildred Farris, Sue Blankenship, Velma Short, and Dena Reid.

Al is survived by his loving and devoted wife of sixty-eight years, his children, Rendell Wills and wife, Sharon, of Greenville; Carla Wills of Greenville; his grandchildren: Lee Wills and wife, Heather, of Silva; Caleb Parkin of Poplar Bluff; Laura McCoy and husband, Corey, of Bonne Terre; his great-grandchildren: Claire and Rory Wills, Bentley McCoy, Chloe and Carter Rose Parkin, one sister: Mamie Downard, many nieces and nephews. Al’s warm and friendly smile will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and community.

Visitation will be held at 6:00 pm, Monday, June 15, 2020, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 10:30 am, Tuesday, June 16, 2020, also at the Greenville Chapel.
