Roger Orin Charlton Sr.

Roger Orin Charlton, Sr., 74, of Redford, Mo., and Paragould, Ark., passed away peacefully in his home Monday June 1, 2020.

Roger was born June 18, 1945 in Ironton, Mo.

The stories told about our dad all share that he was a great man, uncle, brother, cousin, father, grandfather and friend. He was one that would do anything for anyone at any time. He was always smiling and loved to make others smile either by a joke, story or just simply harassing you about something, was a hard worker and a true friend with a ton of love to share.

Roger suffered from chronic pain since his back surgery in 1998. He was diagnosed with Myleodysplastic Syndrome. Had his left thumb amputated from injury, followed by 5 reconstructive surgeries. Had a stroke that caused him to lose his left peripheral vision in both eyes and advanced liver cancer just a week before his death.

Roger is survived by his daughters Pamela Hamilton and spouse Brian Hamilton of Mascoutah, Ill., Melina Hammon and spouse Rodney Martin of St. Louis, Mo., Consuela Reynolds of Bonne Terre, Mo., and son Roger Charlton, Jr. (R.C.). Roger is further survived by 5 Granddaughters, 5 Grandsons, 3 Great-Granddaughters and 1 Great-Grandson, which with all his heart, cherished each and every one of them.

Roger is superseded in death by his wife Louetta Charlton, partner Pat Allen, daughter Tracy Charlton, sister Brinda Charlton, brother Don Charlton, nephew Frank Parker, and parents Amuel & Lorene Charlton, along with many other family and friends.

Rogers final wish was to be cremated and spread with his late wife Louetta in Arkansas. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
