Driver Injured After Car Overturns in Pond
A Cape Girardeau woman received minor injuries in a motor vehicle accident Thursday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at around 5 p.m. Lillian Norman, 20, was driving a 2007 Honda Accord on Missouri Highway 72, one mile east of Ironton, when she ran off the roadway, overturned and struck a pond.
The vehicle was listed as totaled and Norman was transferred by ambulance to Parkland Health Center in Farmington. Norman was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
