Brenda Kaye Lane

Brenda Kaye Lane daughter of the late Jessie Belle Morton Dement and Leman Glenwood Dement was born in Centerville, Mo., on July 2, 1948. She departed this life at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., on June 27, 2020, at the age of 71.

On June 16, 2018 in Centerville, Mo., Brenda was united in marriage to Rick Lane. She enjoyed gardening and farming. Brenda’s greatest joy was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Warren Chronister, and her son-in-law, Ed Mathes.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Rick Lane of Centerville, Mo., two daughters, Ada LuAnn “Pooh” Mathes of Centerville, Mo., Nicole Lea Campbell and husband Kenneth of Bloomsdale, Mo., five grandchildren, Warren Lee Chronister Jr. and wife Amber of Redford, Mo., Hayden Levi Chronister and wife Mataya of Bunker, Mo., Christopher L. Freeman and wife Brittany of Bloomsdale, Mo., Jessica Jones and husband Jonathan of Bunker, Mo., and Matthew Warren Rotter of Bloomsdale, seven great-grandchildren, Waylen, Warren and Whitlee Chronister of Redford, Mo., Colten Chronister of Bunker, Mo., Kynlee Freeman of Bloomsdale, Mo., Brody and Jonathan Jones of Bunker, Mo., and one brother, James Dement and wife Mary of Ellington, Mo.. Brenda Will be deeply missed by her family and many friends who will mourn her passing.

Visitation and Funeral Services were held Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at McSpadden Funeral Home. Burial took place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Pastor Larry Bowles ministered to the family. Pallbearers were Hayden Chronister, Lee Chronister, Jay Jones, Jonathan Jones, Christopher L. Freeman, Matt Rotter and Ken Campbell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to McSpadden Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
