Michael Dwain Grajek

Michael Dwain Grajek of Middlebrook, Mo., passed away June 30, 2020, at his residence at the age of 66 years.  He was born October 27, 1953, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of the late Dominic and Mary Elizabeth (Smittle) Grajek. 

Mike is survived by his companion of 22 years, Brenda Williams, his daughter, Kristy Gilbert (Shawn Akins) of Dickson, Tn., Brenda’s daughters; Elizabeth Wren (Bryon) of Wentzville, Mo., Jennifer Shelton (Sumer) of Festus, Mo., his brother; Stanley Grajek of Arcadia, Mo., and two sisters; Gloria Axe of O’Fallon, Mo., and Theresa Hartwick of Ironton, Mo. Seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by two brother-in-laws; Derrick Axe and Henry Lee Hartwick. 

Mike was a lifetime member of the Arcadia Valley Elks Club #2330 and he volunteered at the AMTRAK station on Monday nights.  He loved working there and meeting people.  Mike was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved to hunt and mow lawns.  He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and he was always “Gramps” to them.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 6, 2020, at Bryson Funeral Home Chapel.  Following the visitation,  a graveside service was held at Arcadia Valley Memorial Park.  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.brysonfuneralhome.com.
