A new member was sworn into the Arcadia Valley’s Board of Education on Thursday, June 11. Ronnie Gibbs was sworn in by board President Byron Inman. Gibbs was recently re-elected to the board in June.
After the swearing in, the treasurer’s report was given. The district has seen an increase in the current balance compared to June of 2019. However, looking at the revenues and expenditures, the district is seeing a negative difference between the two.
The school board approved the CTC Tuition for the 2020 – 2021 school year, with the tuition being set at $2,900 for a three-hour block.
The teacher salary and the classified salary schedules were approved for the next school year, as well as the prices for breakfast and lunches. Information on new prices will be sent out to families in the coming weeks.
An update was given on the elementary school playground as it is in Phase 1. The district is working to finalize some color schemes and will soon be getting an install date on the new playground additions, which is expected this week.
Dr. Brian Beard then gave his Superintendent’s Report.
The board then closed the session to discuss personnel.
