Donald Lee Wyatt Sr.

Donald Lee Wyatt Sr. 84, of St. Louis, formerly of Des Arc, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020, at his residence. He was born in St. Louis, July 23, 1935, to parents James and Leona (Fleer) Wyatt. Donald was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He grew up in Annapolis and attended school there. He worked as a lineman for Western Union several years before entering in the United States Army. After returning home from the service, he worked for Alumax as a dock worker for thirty-seven years before moving back to the Iron county area. He has lived in Des Arc for the past twenty years. Don looked forward to planting his garden every year. He enjoyed the outdoors, wildlife, hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Russell Wyatt; his brothers, Walter and Loyle Wyatt; and his sister Barbara Carter. Donald is survived by his children, Donald Wyatt Jr. and wife Rebecca of St. Louis, Paula Niemann and husband Lee of Affton; five grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sister, Marlene Dryer of Festus. Donald will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation was held from 12:00 pm, Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 1:00 pm, also at the Piedmont Chapel. Bro. Richard Sanders ministered to the family.
