Sandra Jean (Bennett) Kamer
Sandra Jean (Bennett) Kamer, 71, of Patterson, MO, passed away Friday, July 10, 2020, at her residence. She was born in St. Louis, MO, January 4, 1949, to parents George L and Mildred Leona (Sanders) Bennett. Sandra was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend. She married the love of her life, Robert L. Kamer Sr., February 12, 1966, and to this union two children were born. Sandra enjoyed outdoors, camping, riding motorcycles, 4-wheelers, and horses. She was quite crafty with quilting, embroidering, and crocheting. Sandra was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Piedmont and taught Sunday school. She loved education and learning, teaching everyone, especially the children. Sandra had a special bond with every child she encountered, with a unique ability, and endless patience, to teach them about God. Even when she could no longer walk, children were always anxious to be around her and learn from her. Sandra loved her Pepsi, but most of all, she loved the legacy she has left behind…her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Lockie J. Morgan. Sandra is survived by her loving husband of fifty-four years, children, Robert L Kamer and wife Barb of Patterson, Lockianna Bennett and husband Patrick of Patterson; grandchildren: Ginger Carter of Rolla, Jody Bixler and husband Mike of East Prairie, Teodoro Rivas and wife Jacquline of Patterson, Trenton Kamer Sr. of Patterson, Dynishea L Latimore of Patterson, Colton L Bennett of Patterson, Logan Mayes and husband Jake of Park Hills; twenty-two great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren; brothers: Chuck Bennett and wife Jeannie of Piedmont, Tracey Bennett and wife Rachael of Piedmont, Phillip Bennett of Farmington, David Bennett and wife Amy of Jackson; sisters: Veronica Bennett of Daytona, FL, Toni Bennett of GA. Sandra will be forever missed by her family and friends. Visitation was held at 5:00 pm, Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service was at 10:00 am, Monday, July 13, 2020, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Tadd Kruithoff ministered to the family. Trenton Kamer Sr., Colton Bennett, Teodoro Rivas Jr., Tracey Bennett, Phillip Bennett, and Arlie Sanders served as pallbearers. Burial was in Lewis Cemetery, Lodi.
