Tequila’s Mexican Restaurant in Piedmont will be closing the rest of the month due the possible exposure from one of its diners. The restaurant released the following statement on social media, “Amigos, you already know that this community is like family to us. You have let us serve you for the past 11 years, 8 months, and 5 days. There are no words to express our gratitude to you! Thanks to you and your families, we have been able to provide for our family. As you may know, we have been taking many precautionary measures to ensure your safety and ours by seating no more than 10 at a table, seating customers at every other table to maintain social distancing, sanitizing and disinfecting regularly, and wearing masks.
The health department has notified us that we have been exposed to COVID-19. We ask that you continue to support us and our decision to close from the 21st to the 31st. Unfortunately, we do not know who the person infected is. However, the health department has informed us that the person was here the 11th, 12th and 17th of July. We ask that you take this into consideration.
Please, monitor your health closely and watch for any symptoms. If you have experienced, or are experiencing, any COVID-19 symptoms please stay home! Keep in mind the safety of our community!
Tequila’s Mexican Restaurant will not open until August 1st, for your safety.
Please say a prayer for us and our employees, so that we can maintain our families financially stable while we’re closed. Gracias amigos, we will continue to pray for your safety.“
