Jimmy Dale “J.D.” Martin

Jimmy Dale “J.D.” Martin, son of the late Elva Charles Martin and Lura Ann Kelly, was born in Round Springs, Mo., on November 10, 1944. He departed this life at his residence in Tuscumbia, Mo., on July 15, 2020, at the age of 75.

On March 9, 1973, in Oates, Mo., J.D. was united in marriage to Debbie Swiney. J.D. enjoyed hunting and fishing. His greatest joy in his later years was spending time with his family and grandchildren, and his evening drives looking for deer.

J.D. was preceded in death by his parents, one son, James Todd Martin, one brother, Charles Henry Martin and one sister, Jane Payne.

J.D. is survived by his wife, Debbie Martin of Tuscumbia, Mo., one son, Ronald Martin and companion Michelle Sinclair of Tuscumbia, Mo., two daughters, Tammy Martin of Hillsboro, Mo., and Jodie Martin of Bunker, Mo., six grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. J.D. will be deeply missed by a host of relatives and many friends who will mourn his passing.

Visitation and Funeral were held Sunday, July 19, 2020 at McSpadden Funeral Home, Bunker, Mo., with burial at Chapman Cemetery.  Pallbearsers were: Ronald Martin, Cody Martin, Zack Martin, Mike Stoner, Bill Martin, Charlie Martin, Kenneth Wayne Swiney and Cameron Martin Pastor Tom Wisdom ministered to the family.

In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital
