Martin Francis Boyer

Martin Francis Boyer of Arcadia, Mo.,  passed away July 15, 2020, at his residence at the age of 83 years.  He was born May 28, 1937, at Pond Creek, Mo., the son of the late Clarence Thomas Boyer and Ethel Ester (Nash) Boyer. 

On November 12, 1960, he was united in marriage to Gloria “Joanne” Boyer who preceded him in death on July 8, 2018.  Two children survive: Brian C. Boyer of Utah and Linda Boyer Trebing (Daniel) of Edwardsville, Ill.  Marty is also survived by his sister; Naomi Stegall of Potosi, Mo.,  granddaughter; Hannah Kell, great grandchildren; Aryhona, Isabel, Josh Junior, and Delila, a very special sister-in-law, Erma Dennis (Danny) of Arcadia, Mo., as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

In addition to his wife and parents, Martin was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Boyer.

Martin served our country in the United States Navy.  He was a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Arcadia Valley Eagles, and Arcadia Valley Elks Lodge #2330.  He was a talented musician and singer playing a variety of musical instruments. He was a member of the Monday Night Band which performed at the Farmington Senior Center, as well as The Country Classics Band that performed at Potosi Senior Center.  He also enjoyed visiting casinos.

Visitation was Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Funeral services following. Denny Boyd and Ricky Hayes officiated.  Interment with full military honors will be on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.brysonfuneralhome.com.
