COVID-19 Causes Issues with Extension Programming

The University of Missouri Extension has been hit hard this year by COVID-19.  Not because of cases, but because of the virus itself preventing any types of programs from happening.

Extension Specialist Brad Coleman said that COVID-19 has caused the cancellation of many programs.  “Unfortunately, COVID-19 has caused issues with our 4-H Club,” he said.

Because of the 4-H Club not being able to meet in person, the club was able to meet online, however the lack of great broadband in Iron County prevented some from attending.

Coleman says that he hopes that some of the cancelled events and programs that were cancelled earlier this year can be made up later this year.
