First COVID Death in Wayne County
The Wayne County Health Center reported Wednesday morning that Wayne County has had its first Covid-19 related death.
Tuesday evening, the Health Center reported that there were 39 confirmed COVID cases in Wayne County. Of those, 26 were active and in isolation and 13 people had recovered from the virus. There have been 773 people that have tested negative.
Please remember to social distance (6 feet), wear a mask when you are out in public and social distancing isn’t feasible, wash your hands often and sanitize all highly touched areas often.
Wayne County Health Center will continue to monitor, follow up and work with the DHSS and CDC for all communicable diseases in our county.
