Rosemary Barton

Rosemary Barton, daughter of the late Edgar M. White and Velma L. Mathes, was born in Oates, Missouri, on January 5, 1939. She departed this life at Parkland Health Center in Farmington, Missouri, on July 23, 2020, at the age of 81.

On March 24, 1956, in Oates, Missouri, Rosemary was united in marriage to Ray Barton and to this union four children were born. Ray preceded her in death on March 8, 2017. Rosemary was a member of the Locust Grove United Baptist Church in Oates, Missouri. She enjoyed camping, cooking, sitting on the porch, and going to church. Rosemary’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Aaron White, Earl White and Carl White, and four sisters, Forcine Dunn, Jerline White, Laura Jane LaRue, and Geneva Barton.

Rosemary is survived by two sons, Seth Barton of Lesterville, Missouri, and Nicholas Boyd Barton and wife Rhea of Viburnum, Missouri, two daughters, Cindy Payne and husband Norman of Dillard, Missouri, and Dawn Nichols and husband Jeff of Lesterville, Missouri, one sister, Shirley Dunn of Viburnum, Missouri, 9 grandchildren, Norman Payne Jr., Nicole Payne, Cory Barton, Natasha Ewing, Nathan Barton, Colby Payne, Slade Nichols, RayVen Morrison and Hunter Nichols, and 15 great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Kyleigh, Katelee, Cash, Mila, Drayven, Brynlee, Ryleigh, Natyiah, Jonyiah, Sebastian, Maggie, Blayz, Atticus and baby girl Morrison. Rosemary will be deeply missed by a host of relatives and many friends who will mourn her passing.

Visitation: Sunday, July 26, 2020, 11 AM to 2 PM at McSpadden Funeral Home, Lesterville, Missouri
