Dennis W. Shaver

Dennis W. Shaver, age 67 of Piedmont, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born November 9, 1952 in Granite City, IL, the son of William Coon and Mary (Bennett) Coon. Dennis was married to Christine Whitney November 24, 2000 at Patterson and had been a resident of of Piedmont for many years with his loving wife Chris. Dennis graduated from Hueneme High School in Hueneme, CA in 1971. He entered the US Air Force and served 4 years where he was attached to a bomb brigade in Vietnam for 14 months. In 1977 he enlisted in the US Army for additional training as an electrician. This helped him in his career of nearly 35 years. Dennis operated “Get Er Done Electric” in Piedmont for many years.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents, R.M. and Mattie Bennett and Wilbert and Beatrice Coon.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Shaver, of the home, 2 sons, Kaleb Shaver and Jason Allen, both of Piedmont, his parents, Bill and Mary Coon, of Silva, 2 sisters, Jackie Waites and Julie Crocker (close buddy to Den), both of Silva, 3 grandchildren, Jakob, Savanah (or Hollywood to PePaw) and Kamden (Monkey butt to PePaw).
Also surviving is his favorite nephew, Doniven (critter) Crocker, and nieces, Meggan and Hannah, along with many other family, friends and business associates who loved him dearly.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Morrison Funeral Chapel in Piedmont. Private service will be held at a later date
