Shirley May Foster

Shirley Mae Foster, daughter of the late Edmond Davis and Nova (Bowen) Davis was born June 26, 1946 in Van Buren, Mo., and departed this life on August 20, 2020 in Ellsinore, Mo.  She had attained the age of seventy-four years, one month and twenty-four days.

Shirley had lived in Ellsinore since November of 2007 and was formerly of Mill Springs.  She was of the Pentecostal faith and had previously attended the Ellsinore Community Pentecostal Church and was a member of the Ellsinore Full Gospel Church.  She enjoyed listening to Gospel, going to yard sales, baking and collecting antiques.  She loved her family and was very involved in her children’s lives.  Shirley was loving, caring and had a great sense of humor.

Shirley was united in marriage to Leonard Leon Foster on July 1, 1989 in Ellsinore, Mo. He preceded her in death in December of 2017.

She is survived by one son, Ray Napper and wife Angie of Kearney, Mo; one daughter Carolyn Million and husband Johnny of Ellsinore, Mo; one step-daughter, Marie Kelley and husband Todd of Okla; four brothers, Wayne, Johnnie, Gene and Kenny Davis; one sister, Dorothy White; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy Davis and Dale Davis and one sister, Annette Davis.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore, Mo., with the Funeral Services being held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. James Huffman and Darrell Davis will be Officiating. Burial will be in the Mill Springs Cemetery in Mill Springs, Mo.
