James “Jim” Leroy Dodson

James “Jim” Leroy Dodson, age 73, of Hillsboro, Missouri, passed away on August 04, 2020, in St. Louis. He was born on November 16, 1946, in Eminence Missouri. He was a Concrete Finishing Foreman and was retired from AHAL Contracting. He was a member of Cement Masons & Plasterers Local Union 528. Jim was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Germany and then volunteered for a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, Cardinal fan, gardener, and cook. He was a long-time member of Wil-Nor Outdoors, he loved to tease and joke with people. Jim had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.

 

He is survived by:

Wife-Patricia “Trisha” S. Dodson (nee Sullivan), of Hillsboro, Missouri.

Son-Cole Dodson, of Hillsboro, Missouri

Son-Corey (Natalie) Dodson, of Festus, Missouri

Sister-Cathy Wakefield, of Ellington, Missouri

Sister-Sherry Foster, of Ellington, Missouri

Sister-Brenda (Mike) May, of Van Buren, Missouri

 

Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Visitation-Monday, August 10, 2020, from 4 to 7 pm at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 4th Street, Hillsboro, Missouri, 63050. The family request that those attending to please wear a mask.

 

Funeral-Monday, August 10, 2020, at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Richard Grayson officiating.

 

Interment-Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at 12:30 pm at the National Cemetery, Jefferson Barrack’s Missouri.

We will meet on the parking lot of the funeral home at 11 am and depart for the cemetery at 11:30 am.

The national cemetery will only allow a maximum of fifty attendees. All must wear a mask.
