Clearwater Cross Country Team Improving
The Clearwater High School cross country team had “another day of awesome improvements,” Coach Jim West expressed about Saturday’s race.
Brenden Edwards and Ty Silvester both improved over last week’s times.
Ava Umfleet won an 18th place medal in the Middle School girls race. Jacob Cheney took 24th place in the Boys Varsity race and Haylee Esser took 23rd place in Junior Varsity girls race.The top 30 places received medals.
The cross country team competed in their first meet of the season Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Arcadia Valley XC Invite. CHS runners Ty Silvester and Brenden Edwards both recorded great improvements over last year’s times. Silvester improved by 1 minutes 16 seconds, while Edwards ran an impressive 2 minutes and 6 seconds faster than last year’s AV race.
