Funeral Services for Gary Riethel Conway Sr. will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020, at McSpadden Funeral Home in Bunker, MO, with Bro. Len Young and Pastor Tom Wisdom officiating. Tape music will be played. Interment will be in Bunker Cemetery in Bunker, MO.
Gary was born in St. Louis, MO, on June 13, 1947, to Roy Benton Conway and Velma Lambert Conway. He married the love of his life, Joyce Watson, on March 12th, 1966, in Bunker, Missouri. They were the parents of three children, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Gary passed away on October 22, 2020, in St. Louis, MO.
He is survived by his wife Joyce of 54 years. Their children Ursula Lee (Larry), Gary Conway Jr. (Kelley), and Derrick Conway. Grandchildren Rabeka Dickerson (Steven), Tylor Conway (Paul), Dereka Conway (Joey), Cordell Conway, and Kylee Conway. Great-grandchildren Ayla LaPlant, Amelia Dickerson, Binlee Freeman, and Rylix Freeman. One brother Mike Conway. Sisters Pat Minks (Dee), Karen Goulding (Jim), Pam Whitaker (Jeff). Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Mom and Dad, and grandparents. One brother Rexel Conway.
Gary was a member of Crossville Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher and bus driver.
Gary loved working with people and teaching his kids and grandkids how to fish and hunt. They were the joy of his life.
Gary worked for Wagner Electric in St. Louis then came back to Bunker and worked in the Mines for 33 years for Daisy BB until it closed. He worked for the City of Bunker until he passed away. He will be missed by so many people that loved him.
Pallbearers will be Gary Conway Jr, Derrick Conway, Cordell Conway, Tylor Conway, Bruce Conway and Dude Kitchell.
Honorary Pallbearers: Binlee Freeman, Rylix Freeman, Amelia Dickerson, Ayla LaPlant and Kylee Conway.
