Hazel D. Griggs

Hazel Doris Griggs, daughter of the late Oscar and Jennie (Taylor) Graham, was born in Piedmont, MO, on February 29, 1936. She departed this life at River Ways Nursing Home in Van Buren, on October 24, 2020, at the age of 84.

Hazel was united in marriage to Joe Griggs, May 14, 1955, in Patterson and to this union three children were born. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Bethel Baptist Church. Hazel enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, reading and family picnics.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Paul Graham.

Hazel is survived by her loving husband of sixty-five years; children: Stan Griggs and wife Shelia of Williamsville, Brent Griggs and wife Amber of Piedmont, Sharon (Griggs) Webb of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren: Sarah Griggs, Devin Griggs, Cory Griggs, Preston Griggs, Kendra Griggs; great-grandchildren: James Cassin, Jayce Cassin, Drake Griggs; sisters: Helen Mattox of Piedmont, Shirley Duckett of Piedmont, Juanita Skyles and husband Joe of Cuba. Hazel will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm, Thursday, October 29, 2020, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Williamsville Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 30, 2020, also at the Williamsville Chapel. Burial will follow in Graham Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
