Marilyn Ruth Goggin

Marilyn Ruth Goggin of Ironton, Missouri passed away October 6, 2020 in Pilot Knob, Missouri at the age of eighty- five years. She was born April 27, 1935 in Saint Louis, Missouri to the late Andy and Anna (Miles) Pippin.

On May 25, 1952, she was united in marriage to Robert Lee Goggin who preceded her in death on May 15, 2005. Marilyn is survived by six children; Terri Darcy and husband, John of Robertsville, MO; Donald Goggin of Sullivan, MO.; Robert Ponche Goggin and husband, Daniel Ponche Goggin of St. Louis, MO; Tracie Goggin and Kirk Prinzi of Pacific, MO.; Craig Goggin and wife, Cindy of Pacific, MO; and Loren Nash and husband, Zach of Bonne Terre, MO. Also surviving is her sister, Victoria Gorzik of Union, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, her bonus daughter and son-in-law; Leslie and Gerry Stephens of Fredericktown, and her special friend and caretaker, Leila Krawzik, four bonus grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and  friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Pippin.

Marilyn retired after many years as a United States Postal Service mail carrier and was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Robertsville, Missouri. She enjoyed spending the day with her family and friends.

Family members and guests are required to wear a mask or facial covering while visiting our facility. Social distancing is also expected to keep family members and staff safe. Seating capacity has been reduced to accommodate social distancing. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Funeral services were held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bruce Scott officiating.  Visitation began at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.  Honorary Pallbearers were Nathan Darcy, Jason Darcy, Jacob Buck, Carson Stephens, Zach Nash, Tom Grgic, Sam Henson, and Dillon Bouma.   Online condolences may be made to the family at www.brysonfuneralhome.com.
