James Ball Jr.

James was born on August 16, 1953, in St. Louis, MO, to parents James Lee and Margaret (Hassler) Ball Sr. He passed from this world on November 21, 2020 at his home. He graduated from high school in Piedmont. He worked in St. Louis for several years before moving back home and settling in Piedmont, where he started working in carpentry, which he found was his true calling. He married his wife, Cathy, on June 19, 1999. 

James was active in the Eagles club in Piedmont, and served in office for several years, three of which was as President. He loved working benefits and helping others. James loved his family and especially playing poker with his mom as well as family get-togethers. 

He is survived by his wife, Cathy of GA; brothers; Andrew Rayfield, of Piedmont, Danny Rayfield, of Poplar Bluff, Larry Ball of Lake of the Ozark; sisters, Kathy Thibault of Piedmont, Carla Hukel of Patterson, Mary Wright of Sedalia, and Kelly Norman of Lake of the Ozark. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by stepfather; Carl Rayfield; brothers; Mike Ball, Patrick Ball, and Johnny Ball. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
