Rev. Jerry Lee Hawkins

Rev. Jerry Lee Hawkins of Ironton, MO went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the age of 79 years, 6 months, and 5 days. He was born May 24, 1941 in White Rock, AR to the late James and Ruby Battles Hawkins. On December 10, 1960 Jerry was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Fults Hawkins who survives. To this union two children were born; Stephany Dick and husband Thomas of Eucha, OK, and David Hawkins of Mifflinburg, PA. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren; Amie, Timothy, Matthew, Jeremy, Christopher, Brittany, Christopher, Curtis, Jonathan, Alysha, and Tyler, 15 great-grandchildren, and many more loving family members and friends. In 1975 Jerry was ordained as a Reverend and in 1993 he became the lead Pastor for the Grace Christian Fellowship Church in Arcadia. Jerry was a true man of God and he showed his faithfulness and dedication to the Lord by serving Him and the community in many different ways; he lead his congregation to the Lord while at church, he was a Chaplain for Serenity Hospice for 18 years where he served families in their time of need, and many other leadership and pastoral roles in the community. Jerry’s stories, smile, chuckle, friendship, willingness to serve, and love will be missed by all who were blessed to call him husband, father, friend, and Reverend. There will be a Celebration of Life for Jerry at a later date, and it will be held at the Grace Christian Fellowship Church in Arcadia, MO. In lieu of flowers, the Hawkins family asks that memorials be made to Grace Christian Fellowship in Jerry’s honor.
