Bobby Lee Silvy

Bobby Lee Silvy, 85, of Des Arc, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, New Albany, MS. He was born in Des Arc, MO, on December 29, 1934, to parents Edward and Pearl (Laxton) Silvy. Bobby was a loving uncle and friend. He worked in a sawmill and was handy with other odd jobs. He loved the outdoors, fishing and was an avid hunter. The animals in the woods are resting easy now because Bobby was riding his 4-wheeler every day, from the time the sun came up, until he went to bed with the chickens, hunting whatever was in season. Bobby would always go the extra mile to help someone in need. He loved to make people smile and laugh and would jokingly let everyone know he was the Iron, Wayne County Sheriff. Bobby will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and community. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers: Claude, Ray, Floyd, Leonard, Chester, George, Willard, and Harry Silvy; sisters: Clara Boatwright, and Pauline Copeland; and niece: Debbie Silvy. Bobby is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation was held at 4:00 pm, Friday, December 18, 2020, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 19, 2020, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Darrel Silvy ministered to the family. Music was provided by Emma Griffith.  Caden Silvy, Hunter Silvy, Justin Roark, Dalton Roark, BJ Malone, and Rick Walker served as pallbearers. Burial was in Mt. View Cemetery, Des Arc.
