Wilma L. Ezell

Wilma L. Ezell, 82, of Patterson, MO, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was born in St. Louis, MO, on January 23, 1938, to parents Samson and Berniece (Alberson) Ash

Wilma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She married Charles N. Ezell, August 24, 1956, and to this union three children were born. Wilma was exceptionally talented, especially with her hands. She enjoyed building furniture, old cedar trunks, woodworking, she has built two buildings. She also liked working with a chain saw clearing off fields. She was talented at sharpening chain saw chains as well. Wilma enjoyed raising her goats, chickens, and ducks to name a few. She was also an avid antique collector. Wilma’s favorite past time was spending time with her family. Family was so important to her, she never turned anyone away. She gladly welcomed several children into her home including Darrel Leach, Mark Randall, Pam Wenzara, Dutch McKinney, and niece and nephew who precede her in death: Debbie and Dean Langston.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandson: Gary Paul Garrett.

Wilma is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years; children: Chuck Ezell and wife Patricia of Patterson, Darrell Ezell of Campbell, David Ezell of Patterson; grandchildren: Melissa Hovis and husband Chad, Dalton Ezell and wife Briana, Dustin Ezell, Cody Ezell, Cory Ezell, Cole Ezell, and wife Akayla; great-grandchildren: EmaLynn Ezell, Dawson Ezell, Kaid Ezell, Ridge Ezell, Carter Ezell, Hailey Ezell, Austin Hovis; great-great-grandchildren: Nick Garrett, Darin Garrett, Remmington Hovis; sister: Bonnie Langston. Wilma will be greatly missed.

Visitation was held at 5:00 pm, Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 7:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Bro. David Lawson ministered to the family. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
