George A. Webster
George A. Webster, age 90, son of the late George Webster and Hazel Hale Webster was born March 19, 1930 in Tulsa, OK. and departed this life on January 16, 2021 in Van Buren, MO.
George spent much of his life in Council Bluffs, IA. raising his children and working as a delivery route driver. He retired from Dolly Madison in 1979 and moved to Van Buren, MO. with his wife Betty shortly thereafter. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. George lived his life for the Lord, an avid member of St. George Catholic Church for forty years.
In 1948, he was united in marriage to Lorraine Loper in Council Bluffs, IA. and to this union eight children were born. She preceded him in death on October 27, 1975. In 1976, he was united in marriage to Betty Loper in Council Bluffs, IA.
George is survived by his wife, Betty Loper Webster; his children, George (Malinda) Webster, Janette Webster Arellano, Mark Webster, Bernie (Leesa) Webster, Elizabeth Webster, Joseph Webster and Mary Webster Meads; twenty-five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter and many family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorraine Loper Webster: his daughter, Anne Webster Barker; a granddaughter, Adrienne Bare; sister, Betty Webster Richardson and brothers, John and Daniel Webster.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren, Mo. Father Dan Hirtz will be officiating.
