Andy Edward Ellerman

Andy Edward Ellerman was born on June 11, 1930, in Rat, MO, to Irving D. and Ocie M. McEntire Ellerman. He departed this life at NHC Health Care in Desloge, MO, on January 19, 2021, at the age of 90.

 

Andy was a Veteran who served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. On June 23, 1956, Andy was united in marriage to Irene M. Light and to this union two children were born, Gwendolyn and Timothy. Irene preceded him in death on June 5, 2018. He was a member of VFW and Lion’s Club. Andy was a hard worker who loved family get togethers, kids, riding his horses, hunting and gardening. He liked bluegrass festivals and going to jam sessions at other people’s homes. He led an active social life and in later years enjoyed attending volleyball and basketball games. Andy loved going on scenic drives and he accomplished his goal of seeing all 114 MO. county courthouses.

 

Surviving him are his daughter, Gwendolyn (David) Wisdom of Bunker, MO, his son, Timothy (Tammy) Ellerman of Spring Hill, FL, one grandson, Aaron Ellerman, two grandchildren by marriage, Miranda (Shaun) Wooten, and Keith (Tiffany) Sloder, and six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Hazel Harper of Birch Tree, MO, and Alma (Tom) Curtner of High Ridge, MO, two brothers, Daniel (Pat) Ellerman of Salem, AL, and Noah (Roberta) Ellerman of Salem, MO, and a host of nieces and nephews.

 

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, four sisters, Opal Hurt, Elsie Piatt, Arlene Tennison, and Lura Shiverdeck, and five brothers, Garner, Matthew, Glen, William, and Jesse.

 

Andy was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

 

Visitation: Saturday, January 23, 2021, from 9 AM – 11 AM at McSpadden Funeral Home, Bunker, Missouri
