Myrtle Lavern Hillis

Myrtle Lavern Hillis, 75, of Williamsville, MO, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021, at her residence. She was born in St. Louis, MO, on July 22, 1945, to parents Calvin C. and Loraine M. (Faraone) Owens. Myrtle was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She worked as a CNA at Clark’s Mountain Nursing Center for several years. She enjoyed collecting knickknacks, loved to BBQ, and loved her animals. Her greatest joy was her family especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Raymond Franklin Hillis, she is preceded in death by children: Raymond Franklin Hillis Jr., Elaine Hillis, Verna Lee Hillis, Loretta Arlene Hillis; grandchild: David James Clinton; brother: Clovis Owens, Steven Scott Owens, and Luther Calvin Owens; sister: Elizabeth Lou Owens.

Myrtle is survived by her thirty-year sweetheart: David Stockbauer; children: Frank Hillis and wife Julie of Naylor, Vicky Clinton and husband Eddie of Greenville, Jolene Bolin of Bloomfield, Claudia Henson and husband Jesse of Bloomfield; nine grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; brother: Gale Wright and wife Rhonda of McDonough, GA; sisters: Belinda Vaughn and husband Larry of Coldwater, Wilma Fuller and husband Frank of Williamsville, Tina Lunsford and husband Stacy of Locust Grove, GA, and Karen Owens of Yakima, WA. Myrtle will be missed by her loving family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Williamsville Chapel. Memorial service will follow at 12:00 noon, also in the Williamsville Chapel. Burial will be at a later date. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
