E. Geraldine “Gerry” Potter
E. Geraldine “Gerry” Potter, 75, of St. Charles, MO, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021, at her residence. She was born in St. Louis, MO, on July 10, 1945, to parents Clinton and Velma (Boyd) Collins Sr. Gerry was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She married Stanley Potter on July 29, 1966, and to this union three children were born. Gerry loved music, enjoyed singing, traveling, cooking, and she loved to fish. She was a strong foundation and very loyal to her family. Gerry loved to nurture and spoil her family, especially her grandchildren and her dogs. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-years; her daughter: Sandy Higgins; brother: Clinton Collins Jr.; sisters: Marie Earlywine, Ruby Parker, Betty LaPointe and Mary Osborn. Gerry is survived by her children: Stanley Potter Jr. of St. Charles, Ronda Hutchinson and husband Tony of St. Charles; grandchildren: Bobby Higgins, Heather Hunt and husband Dan, Garrett Potter; great-grandchildren: Tré Higgins, Brody Hunt, Anelise Hunt; sisters: Rita Leach of High Ridge, Patricia Beldon of Independence, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Gerry will be greatly missed. Visitation was held at 12:00 noon, Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 2:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Garrett Potter, Dan Hunt, Rich McDannald, Bob Reese, John Collins, and Terry Leach served as pallbearers. Burial was in Potter Cemetery, Ellington.
