LaVonne Marie Lange

LaVonne Marie Lange of Belleview, MO, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the age of 68 years at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO.  She was born on February 17, 1952 in St. Louis, MO, to Marie (nee Hilgedick) and Vernon Lange.

LaVonne was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s UCC in Marthasville, MO.  She grew up in St. Louis where she met her fiancée Dennis Huebler.  They celebrated 45 years together and built their dream home on a farm in Belleview, MO.  They enjoyed their dogs and cows along with the wildlife on the farm and she had a special place in her heart for her dog ‘Beagler’.  She was employed in the banking industry for many years until she retired and was Branch Manager and Assistant Vice President of Jefferson Savings and Loan.  She enjoyed playing BINGO, going to auctions, collecting antiques, traveling, flowers, and observing wildlife.  She always looked forward to attending various get togethers where she could visit and reminisce with family.

LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents; Vernon and Marie; grandparents Emil and Hattie (nee Mills) Hilgedick and William and Amanda (nee Wolthaus) Lange; special great-aunt Nellie (nee Mills) Schnell; aunts and uncles Virginia (Lloyd) Williams, Harold and Lorena Lange, Alvin (Mary) Lange, Billy (Margaret) Lange, Helen (Carroll) Straube, Lillie (Clarence) Leesmann, William (Ila) Hilgedick, Nancy (nee Sutton) Hilgedick; cousins Kenneth Leesmann, Raymond Barber, and Carla (nee Hartman) Lange; many other relatives and friends.  She is survived by her loving fiancée, Denny; uncle/aunts Grover Hilgedick, Doris (nee Potthast) Groeber, Helen (nee Ballmann) Hilgedick; cousins Lonnie (Barbara) Lange, Brenda Daniels, Donald (Wanda) Lange, David Lange, Norman Leesmann, Carolyn Sue (William) Frick, Jr., Linda (Jim) Mitchell, Patricia (David) Bakker, Glennon (Barb) Hilgedick, Betty (George) McDonnell, Donna (Gene) Frazier, Linda (David) Predmore, Rebecca (Crowell) Thompson; many other relatives and friends.

Private visitation for LaVonne will be held on Thursday, February 4th, 2021, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4th, 2021, 2:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel and Interment immediately following at Mount Hope Cemetery and Mausoleum in St. Louis, MO.

Memorial donations are preferred to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center or the American Diabetes Association.
