Lady Whippets Claim BSC Crown
The Ellington Lady Whippets won the BSC Tournament Saturday in Alton. The Lady Whippets beat Eminence 75-69. Ellington had a trio who scored double digits. Kaylee King scored 29 points. Gretchen Hackworth finished with 19 points. Laura Gore added 13. Other members of the team are Abbi Harper, Dylan Price, Sadie Lloyd, Shemaine Lovell, Ellarae Morton, Lyndy Nash, Madison Davidson, Briley Bouma, and Millie Barnett. The team is coached by David Burrow and Paula Corder King. Ellington’s JB boys also won first place in the BRL Tournament. Bunker’s Varsity boys finished second.
