Donald G. Moreland
Donald G. Moreland, 84, of Jefferson City, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Villa Marie Nursing Facility. He was born on October 1, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri; a son of the late Clarence and Ila (Pyles) Moreland. Donald was united in marriage to Joyce Ossig, July 23, 1960 at Peach Tree General Baptist Church in Piedmont, Missouri.
He was drafted into the United States Army in 1960 and served for a short time in Germany. After his honorable discharge he found employment with Stewart-Warner-Alemite and stayed with the company for 33 years. He then went to work for Delano Oil Company and retired after 18 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, camping and watching sprint car races. Times spent with his grandson, Cooper and making memories with his family were the moments he truly treasured.
Donald is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce Moreland; children, Donald Glenn Moreland (Karin Middleton) and Pamela Sue Moreland-Barrett (Brian); siblings, Jack Moreland (Carol), Bebe Moss, Corky Johnson (Byron), Joyce Keith, and Judy Collier; grandson, Cooper Alan Barrett; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Moreland and infant sister, Karen Moreland; brothers-in-law, Lorhn Moss and Jim Keith.
Services are private for the family.
