These weeks roll around so quickly, time seems to fly by. The time has changed, our days are longer, and Spring is upon us. I am liking it!
Friday, March 19, was our special 3rd Friday meal day, and it showed!! We served Fish, Shrimp, and Frog Legs, along with Birthday Cake. We had a packed house!! It was noisy, somewhat chaotic, and so much fun! It was a joy to see so many out, and to hear the chatter between friends. I am submitting a photo, showing the meal line all the way back to the door, and beyond. People started arriving at 10:30 a.m. to visit while waiting for the 11:00 serving time. We had several new patrons who will be back, I have no doubt. Thank you to all who came out to eat, and to those who passed the word to their friends, of a great place to dine!
I have been asked to address a statement made in the Williamsville News last week, regarding the WCNC Board Meeting Agenda not being posted on the front door of the Center. Upon verification, what is currently being done is not only acceptable, but in accordance with Robert’s Rules of Order. We post the meeting on the Activity Calendar in the Center, and in this column, which reaches more Wayne Countians, and negates the door posting. As stated last week, our next monthly meeting is scheduled for April 13 at 1:00 p.m.
The Center is a drop-off point for Easter candy for the annual Williamsville Booster Club Egg Hunt, scheduled for April 3. You may drop off on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The candy must be individually wrapped and small enough to fit inside the plastic eggs.
The Nutrition Center is having an Easter Basket giveaway! The drawing will be April 2. The week of March 29 – April 2, each time a patron dines at the Center, their name will be entered in the drawing for the basket. The basket is super nice with a variety of food and prize items! Make sure to come in often to get your name in the pot for the drawing!
Friday, April 9, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., is our BINGO Fundraiser! We are gearing up for a fun evening. Prizes are coming in for you to purchase with your winning tickets. Concession foods will be available to purchase during the event. Pass the word to your friends, and come out for a fun time!
