Reynolds County Election Results
Tuesday’s Municipal Election in Reynolds County had a very low turnout with just 13.28 percent of registered voters casting ballots. Unofficial returns show that 2,154 people voted.
The only contested race was for Lesterville School Board. Dan Garrison and Pam Crocker were elected to serve on the Board of Education. Garrison received 121 votes and Crocker 98. Dan Sieve Jr received 97 votes.
Betty Wisdom and Sabrina Watson each received six votes to be elected aldermen in Bunker. By a 7-2 vote, Bunker residents approved a proposal that would allow the city to forego holding an election if the number of candidates declaring their candidacy equaled the number of openings.
William (Bo) Whitchurch received six votes to be elected Ward I alderman in Ellington. Rodger L. Lesh received 10 votes to be elected Ward 2 alderman.
In Centerville, Tom Holland and Randy Blythe each received five votes to be elected aldermen in Centerville. By a 5-1 votes, Centerville voters
approved a proposal that would allow the city to forego holding an election if the number of candidates declaring their candidacy equaled the number of openings.
