Roy Gale Ratliff, son of the late Harvey Ratliff and Alice (Black) Ratliff, was born in Ellington, Missouri, on January 16, 1942. He departed this life at his residence in Westville, Oklahoma, on May 9, 2021, at the age of 79.
Roy was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially driving his horse and wagon. Roy’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Waylen, Dersey, Louis and Gary Ratliff, and 2 sisters, Zona Wood and Lyvone Sloan.
Roy is survived by 5 daughters, Gale Barker and husband Larry of Winslow, Arkansas, Alesha Reed and husband Jake of Joplin, Missouri, Michaela Hensley and husband Marvin of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Kelley Bill and husband Michael of Avoca, Arkansas, and Christine Kelly of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, one brother, Dow Ratliff of Fayetteville, Arkansas, two sisters, Samantha Wilson and husband Greg of Lavaca, Arkansas, and Delorse Dea and husband Richard of Ellington, Missouri, 7 grandchildren, Stacey, Lindsey, Tiffany, Paul, Clay, Kaylin and Gunner, and 10 great-grandchildren. Roy will be deeply missed by a host of relatives and many friends who will mourn his passing.
The funeral was held Thursday, May 13, 2021, at McSpadden Funeral Home, Ellington, Missouri. Pastor Gale Beecher officiated. Burial was in Santhuff Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gunner Kelly, Bryan Gabbard, Bill Kelly, Jake Reed, Brandon Redman and Rodney Redman.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to Good Shepard Hospice in Grove, Oklahoma. Arrangements were by McSpadden Funeral Home, Ellington, Missouri.
