Wayne Daugherty

Wayne Daugherty, age 77 of Festus, MO, formerly of Piedmont, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Cedar Hurst Senior Living Center in Farmington, MO. He was born January 11, 1944 at Poplar Bluff, MO, the son of William Daugherty and Kathleen (Price) Daugherty.
Wayne served in the National Guard and retired as the Assistant Superintendent at the Dunklin R-5 School District in Herculaneum, MO.
He was married to Lynn Wallis August 24, 1964 and she passed away January 26, 2000. Also preceding him in death are his parents.
Survivors include his children, Mike Daugherty and his wife Sara, of Hillsboro, MO, Julie Kliethermes and her husband Kevin, of Jacksonville, FL, his sister, Carolyn Mosher and her husband Wayne, of Troy, MO, 4 grandchildren, Logan and Lyndsay Daugherty, Kamryn and Avery Kliethermes, and many other family and friends.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, May15, 2021 with Deacon Steve Kliethermes officiating. Kenny Elrod, Kent Elrod, Logan Daugherty, Tony Twidwell, Matt Kempkerand Tim Moser served as Pall Bearers. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Chapel. Memorials have been suggested to the American Cancer Society.
