Lola Faye Luten

Lola Faye Luten, 79, of Des Arc, MO, passed away Thursday, June 17, at her residence. She was born in Des Arc, on November 27, 1942, to parents Donald and Doretha (Grigery) Dean.

Lola Faye was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was married to Bill Luten. She was a member of Des Arc Assembly of God Church and was saved as a young girl. Lola Faye started working at Concordia Publishing House in 1969 as a book binder, then worked her way up to supervisor and after twenty-six years she retired in 1995. She loved her animals, especially her dogs. Lola Faye was very stubborn at times but enjoyed every minute of her life. She was a giving person and enjoyed being near people, especially children, she loved to spoil them.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; sons: Paul Rutter, Clifton “Crackerjack” Rutter and B.J. Luten; brother, Carl Bud Dean; sisters: Emma “Tooter” Stevenson, Freida “Sissy” Miller, Deloris M. Wright.

She is survived by her son: Charles Rutter of Potosi, MO; brother, Donald Vernon Dean, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Lola Faye will be greatly missed by her family, and friends.

Visitation was held at 11:00 am, Monday, June 21, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral services followed at 1:00 pm, also at the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Brent Reed ministered to the family. Doug Bond, Leonard Dean, David Dean, William Dean, Jimbo Beers and Robby Widmer served as pallbearers. Burial was at Mt. View Cemetery, Des Arc, MO.
