Jean Marie Pickett

Jean “Jeanie” Marie (Millam) Pickett, age 67, passed away in the early evening hours of Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at her residence in Springfield, Missouri. Jeanie was born in Cherokee, Iowa, on December 10, 1953, to Everett and Beverly Millam.

 

Jeanie was known for her love of her family, flowers, music, reading and baking cookies with her grandchildren, but she was best known for her green thumb. On April 12, 1970, in Piedmont, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Larry Pickett and to this union 5 children were born.

 

Jeanie was preceded in death by her father, Everett Millam, father-in-law, Paul Amos Pickett, and mother-in-law, Georgia Faye Pickett.

 

Jeanie is survived by her mother, Beverly Millam of Van Buren, Missouri, her husband and high school sweetheart, Larry Pickett of Springfield, Missouri, son, David Pickett and wife Mary of Fair Grove, Missouri, daughter, Deanna Pickett of Springfield, Missouri, daughter, Lisa Kessler and husband James of Pleasant Hope, Missouri, son, Benjamin Pickett and wife April of Ellington, Missouri, son, Adam Pickett and wife Michelle of Springfield, Missouri, two brothers, Mike Millam of Killeen, Texas, and Sam Millam of New Brunswick, Ohio, one sister, Amy Farley of Costa Rica, and 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Jeanie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
