Raymond Cissell

Raymond Cissell, 82, of Greenville, MO, passed away Saturday, September 4, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born in St. Louis, MO, June 20, 1939, to parents Lee J. and Mary E. (Durr) Cissell. Ray was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He was married to Doris Jean (Marlow) on September 26, 1998. Ray enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, camping, fishing, skiing, and hunting. He loved to play cards with his friends and family. Ray and Doris enjoyed nature and taking nature walks. They enjoyed traveling together going to different national parks. Ray was a people person and never met a stranger. He enjoyed being around his friends and spending time with his family, especially his two favorite companions, his chihuahuas Mama-Doo and Levi. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of nineteen years; brother: Tad Roy David. Ray is survived by his children: Kenneth Cissell and wife Misty Johnston of Greenville, David Cissell and wife Nancy of Greenville, Donald Cissell of Cape Girardeau, Michael Cissell of Galveston, TX, Kenneth Perales and wife Linda of Silva; grandchildren: Kirstlyn Thiele of Silva, Matt Massa of Greenville, David Cissell of Greenville, Dallas Cissell of Cape Girardeau, Jared Perales, Venessa Perales; brothers: Lee Cissell of Nixa, Paul David of Columbus, MS, Gary David of Greenville; and many friends. Ray will be greatly missed by all who knew aand loved him. Visitation was held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, Sunday September 12, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. A graveside service followed at 2:00 pm at Grassy Friendship Cemetery, Grassy, MO. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family.
