Lester “Putch” Leavern Jordan
Lester “Putch” Leavern Jordan, 81, of Williamsville, MO, formerly of Clarkton, MO, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021, at his residence. He was born May 21, 1940, Gideon, MO, to parents Lynn and Martha Cathrine (Mann) Jordan.
Lester was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He married Betty Jean Thompson, June 8, 1967. Lester had many good traits. He was an over the road truck driver for many years, he was a welder, and he was also the Chief of Police of Clarkton for a few years. He enjoyed talking on his CB radio. He loved the outdoors and was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed camping and fishing. Lester was truly a family man and was very proud of his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Charles, Jimmy Dale, Leroy, and Larry Jordan; sister: Georgia Minor.
Lester is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years; children: Barry Lynn Jordan of Booneville, Carl Jordan and wife Danielle of Clarkton, Bryian Jordan of Sikeston, Darla McIver and husband Terry of Arnold, Tammy Secrest and husband Jerry of Clarkton, stepdaughter: Elaine DeBord of Williamsville, Deborah Jordan and husband Eugene of Camden, AR; grandchildren: Katie, Kristina, Jesse, Adam; great-grandchild: Gracie; brothers: Billy Joe Jordan and wife Bonnie of Hardy, AR, Jerry Jordan and wife Sharon of Clarkton, Eugene Jordan and wife Deborah of Camden, AR; sisters: Alma Crafton of Redbud, IL, Martha Holmes of Clarkton, Debra Hargis and John of Eldorado, AR. Lester will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
