Ronda Gladys Sencibaugh

Long time Copper Center resident Ronda Gladys Sencibaugh, died May 10, 2021 due to complications from a stroke.  She was 75 years old.

Ronda was born December 1945 in Lesterville, MO to James and Ruth Miller.  She moved with her husband and five children to Valdez, Alaska in the early 70’s.

While living in Valdez, Ronda worked for the State of Alaska DOT office and the Valdez Hospital.  After her children graduated, Ronda and her husband moved briefly to Anchorage before retiring to Copper Center.

Ronda enjoyed life with her husband in Copper Center for many years.  She had a passion for gardening with a special love for Alaskan wildflowers.  She eagerly awaited the end of winter so she could see her beautiful flowers again.

She was known for her gentle nature and quick wit.  She loved her children and pets dearly.

Ronda is survived by her husband Ronald, and children Sondra (Chugiak, AK), Nathan (Valdez, AK), Adam (Chippewa Falls, WI), and Ronda.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald, Jr. (Copper Center, AK).

The family asks that donations be made to local botanical gardens in lieu of flowers.

A celebration of life will be planned for the summer of 2022.
