Lottie Jane Trotter
Lottie Jane Trotter, more commonly known as “Ghee”, changed her permanent residence on September 27, 2021. She was met at her new home by her parents Elmer and Marie (Casteel) Campbell, her four siblings, whom she loved more than life…Lorene (Robbs), Elmer Jr., Richard, and Brenda (Tiefenauer). Along with more friends than we could count on fingers and toes.
Those here planning to visit include her loving husband, Robert Trotter, her two children, Vicki (Tom) Boatright and Jim (Luellen) Aldridge; two stepchildren Ginger (John) Anderson and Judy (Tim) McClard. Two grandchildren: April (Charles) Buntion and Justin (Christy) Clark; ten step grandchildren: Hannah (John) Gandt, Robert Weir, Erin McCLard and Ben McClard, Stephanie (Mark ) Acre, Ashley (Cory) Reese, Garett (Caitlin Johnson) Boatright, Abe (Jamie) AuBuchon, Alicia (Denny) Bouse, and Jake (Lacey) Zehrt.
Lottie is remembered by many as being a “classy”, sharp dressed”, “no nonsense”, woman. She was NEVER afraid to tell you her opinion, and did she ever have one… On Every Little Thing!
She helped everyone she knew and blessed the lives of so many. She loved music and began singing and “entertaining” at the age of four. Entertaining others never ended, and as she said and I quote, “Never let the truth get in the way of a good story!”
She loved cooking and baking. We all especially enjoyed her cooking Sunday night dinners from the time we were “knee high to a grasshopper.” That’s when we all learned to keep our forks. Each Sunday after finishing dinner, Ghee would announce “Keep your fork, the best is yet to come”. In fact, that was the last phrase I heard her say before her “taxi arrived” to take her to her new address.
Others who will miss her smile, advice and loving hugs include….Great Grandchildren; Micah (Chucky Hopper) Wood, MaKenna Buntion, Janzen, Buntion, Avery Jane Clark, Step great grandchildren: Rylie Gandt, Charlie Gandt, Dion McClard, Asia McClard, Brynn Acre, Maddox Acre, Tobias Acre, Wyatt Reese, Max AuBuchon, Addie AuBuchon, Eva AuBuchon, Henry AuBuchon, Violet AuBuchon, Helen AuBuchon, and Louis James AuBuchon. Great Great Grandchildren: RyLee Jane Hopper, Claire Hopper and Lincoln Hopper.
A memorial visitation was held on Sunday, October 3, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Bryson Funeral Home. As per the request of Lottie “Ghee” please join her family at the St. Francois Country Club, Sunday, October 24th at 2:00 p.m. for a Celebration of Life. Music, spirits, and food. If you have a good story to tell about or on Lottie please plan to share! Again, her last wishes were to have a celebration with her friends and family!
