Allene White, daughter of the late Frank Petty and Willie (Hart) Petty, was born in Wardell, Missouri, on July 13, 1935. She departed this life at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on October 2, 2021, at the age of 86.
On January 17, 1953, in Senatobia, Mississippi, Allene was united in marriage to William “Bill” White and to this union five children were born. Bill preceded her in death on May 19, 2018. Allene attended the Apostolic Church in Ellington, Missouri. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and playing rummy, triominos and solitary. Allene’s greatest joy was spending time with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.
Allene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Ronnie White, and one brother, William Petty.
Allene is survived by three sons, Billy White of Ellington, Missouri, Randy White and wife Cheryl of Ellington, Missouri, and Gregory White and wife Linda of Van Buren, Missouri, one daughter, Geri Hettel and husband Gene of Doniphan, Missouri, one daughter-in-law, Carmen White of Salem, Missouri, two brothers, Richard Petty of Ellington, Missouri, and Harley Petty of Neelyville, Missouri, 24 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by a host of relatives and many friends who will mourn her passing.
Visitation was held Tuesday, October 5, 2021, 11AM-2PM at McSpadden Funeral Home, Ellington, Missouri. Funeral followed at 2PM.
Minister was Pastor William White. Burial was at Ellington Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Levi White, Lane White, Tim White, Kyle White, Cody White, Josh Brawley, Hunter McClanahan and Paul Bates. Honorary Pallbearers were Billy White, Randy White and Greg White.
