Bobbie M. Garza

Bobbie M. Garza, daughter of the late Earvin William Barnes and Ola Calherne (Dement) Barnes, was born in Redford, Missouri, on May 22, 1931. She departed this life at Brent B. Tinnin Manor in Ellington, Missouri, on October 4, 2021, at the age of 90.

On April 2, 1981, in Houma, Louisiana, Bobbie was united in marriage to Abelardo “Lalo” Garza. Lalo preceded her in death on July 9, 1993. Bobbie was a member of the Reynolds County Genealogy Society and she volunteered at the Reynolds County Museum.  She enjoyed gardening, going to flea markets and genealogy research.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, Terry Sanders and Patricia Cox, two brothers, Jesse and Glenn Barnes, one sister, Bettie Loyd, 1 granddaughter, Susan Shane, and one great-grandson, Austin Perritt.

 Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Catherine Franklin and domestic partner Chris Plaisance of Gheens, Louisiana, one brother, Herman Barnes and wife Kay of Ellington, Missouri, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Bobbie will be deeply missed by her family and friends who will mourn her passing.

There was a Graveside Service at the Ellington Memorial Cemetery on Monday, October 11, 2021, 10:30AM

Minister was Pastor Jim Stewart.

Pallbearers were Baker, Kyle Franklin, Chris Plaisance, Mikey Baker and Dylan Baker.
