Janet H. Campbell

Janet H. Campbell, daughter of the late Sherman P. Dement and Charlotte Maple (Wells) Dement, was born in Redford, Missouri, on November 5, 1941. She departed this life in Farmington, Missouri, on October 6, 2021, at the age of 79.

On March 4, 1961, in St. Louis, Missouri, Janet was united in marriage to Billy E. Campbell and to this union four children were born. Billy preceded her in death on April 13, 2009. Janet was a member of the Centerville Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading and going to church. Janet’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. 

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Edward, Johnny and Donnie Dement, and two sisters, Shirley Ashlock and Anthonette Malhon.

Janet is survived by two sons, William “Billy” Campbell and wife Pamela of Redford, Missouri, and Donald Campbell of Farmington, Missouri, two daughters, Janet Harmon and husband David of Park Hills, Missouri, and Janice Campbell of Lesterville, Missouri, six brothers, Sherman Dement of Arnold, Missouri, Charles Dement of Ellington, Missouri, David Dement Centerville, Missouri, Richard Dement of Centerville, Missouri, George Dement of Ellington, Missouri, and Mike Dement of Redford, Missouri, one sister, Virginia Hope Bowles of St. Genevieve, Missouri, 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Janet will be deeply missed by a host of relatives and many friends who will mourn her passing. 

Visitation was held Sunday, October 10, 2021, 4-8PM at McSpadden Funeral Home, Ellington, Missouri.

Funeral was held Monday, October 11, 2021, 1PM at McSpadden Funeral Home.

Minister was Pastor Richard Dement. Burial was at  Redford Memorial Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Paul, Troy, Michael Paul, Chris, Damian and Ryan.

In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home. Arrangements by McSpadden Funeral Home, Ellington, Missouri.
