Loraine Wohlschlaeger

Loraine Wohlschlaeger, 101 years, 1 month, and 5 days, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Clarks Mountain Nursing Center, Piedmont. She was born in St. Louis, MO, on August 30, 1920, to parents Harry and Ada (Grosswilder) Fanter. Loraine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She married Wally Wohlschlaeger in 1938, and to this union two children were born. She lived in Piedmont since 1958. She enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and bowling. Loraine was an accomplished artist and enjoyed painting and pencil drawings. She and husband Wally, owned Clearwater Store from 1958 to 1974. Loraine was a mother that was always there for her family. She was well liked in the community and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Wally, of fifty-eight years; daughter: Sharon Stinehart and husband Gaylord; brothers: Homer and Bud Fanter; sisters: Mildred Koehler and Shirley Shepard. Loraine is survived by her son: Jim Wohlschlaeger and wife Marileta of Piedmont; grandchildren: Brian Wohlschlaeger and wife Holly, Susan Steward, Katie Cribbs and husband Jason, Lisa Litzau and husband Dave, Vickie Stinehart, Debbie Stinehart, Casey Mathis and husband Larry, Chris Coleman and wife Susan, and bonus: granddaughters: Sarah Montgomery and husband Adam, and Crystal Waites; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation was held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 1:00 pm, also in the Piedmont chapel. Bro.
