Margaret Louise Coleman

Margaret Louise Coleman, daughter of the late Jesse Lewis Batey and Mary Margaret (Lawton) Batey, was born in Blytheville, Arkansas, on December 18, 1960. She departed this life at Salem Memorial District Hospital in Salem, Missouri, on October 4, 2021, at the age of 60.

Margaret attended the Crossville Baptist Church in Bunker, Missouri. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting and reading. Margaret’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. 

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Jesse Wayne and Dale Lynn Batey.

Margaret is survived by four sons, Randy Thompson and wife Marie of Salem, Missouri, Darren Thompson of Farmington, Missouri, Charles Coleman Jr. and wife Miranda of Salem, Missouri, and Jacob Coleman Sr. and wife Alicia of Centerville, Missouri, four daughters, Jeanie McClanahan and husband James of Bunker, Missouri, Samantha Stevens of Centerville, Missouri, Sasha Coleman of Birch Tree, Missouri, and Allison Coleman of Centerville, Missouri, three brothers, James Batey of Ankeny, Iowa, Dan Batey of Quincy, Washington, and Doug Batey of George, Washington, one sister, Cheryl Bowles of Salem, Missouri, 21 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Margaret will be deeply missed by a host of relatives and many friends who will mourn her passing. 

Visitation was held Saturday, October 9, 2021, 3–6PM at McSpadden Funeral Home, Bunker, Missouri. Funeral followed at 6PM. Minister was Pastor Len Young. In Lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association.  Arrangements by McSpadden Funeral Home, Bunker, Missouri.
