Richard “Dick” F. DeVoto

Richard “Dick” F. DeVoto, 75, of Williamsville, MO, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Richmond Heights, MO, on January 8, 1946, to parents August and Ellis (Schnarr) DeVoto. Dick was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He married Nicky Pondoff on June 1, 1994. Dick was a Maintenance Supervisor at Troop E Headquarters. He proudly served in the United States Army serving in Vietnam. He was a man of many traits. He could fix or make anything. He enjoyed Nicky’s company and they did everything together, including, taking care of their vegetable garden, building, and repairing things, plumbing, and fishing. He loved his dog, Abby. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters: Judy Privett and Mary Alice DeVoto. Dick is survived by his loving wife of twenty-seven years; brothers: Don DeVoto of Poplar Bluff, MO, Bob DeVoto of Silex; sister: Barbara Medina of Jefferson County; sister-in-law: Mary Lundergan of St. Charles; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. A graveside service was held at 10:00 am Thursday, September 30, 2021, in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Bloomfield, MO, with full military honors provided by the United States Army and American Legion Post 382, Bloomfield, MO.
