Brenda Rose “Poochie Rose” Winingar

Brenda Rose “Poochie Rose” Winingar, daughter of the late Clee Carty and Mildred (Helms) Carty, was born in Black, Missouri, on August 6, 1949. She departed this life at her residence in Lesterville, Missouri, on October 19, 2021, at the age of 72.

On January 7, 1968, in Black, Missouri, Brenda was united in marriage to Elmer Winingar and to this union one son was born. Brenda was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Lesterville, Missouri. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of the Lions Club. Brenda enjoyed playing on her computer, being around children, playing Santa Claus every Christmas, working elections, canning, cooking and catering. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. 

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters, Sandy Bonekemp and Wand.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Elmer Winingar of Lesterville, Missouri, her son, Elmer Jesse Winingar III and his wife Tami of Belgrade, Missouri, her step-daughter, Ashley Carmichael, 3 brothers, Don Carty, John Carty and Lyndell Carty all of Carlinville, Illinois, 2 sisters, Doris Rush and Sue Tinker both of Carlinville, Illinois, and 7 grandchildren. Brenda will be deeply missed by her family and friends who will mourn her passing. 

Visitation was Friday, October 22, 2021, 5-8PM at McSpadden Funeral Home, Lesterville, Missouri. 

Funeral was Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 11AM.

Minister was Pastor Mitch Bryant.

Burial was at Brown Cemetery.a
