Pansy Louise Maize
Pansy Louise Maize, daughter of the late Fred Hastings and Mary (Kaffenburger) Hastings, was born in Rombauer, Missouri, on August 21, 1939. She departed this life at Ozark Methodist Manor in Marionville, Missouri, on October 17, 2021, at the age of 82.
On July 19, 1958, in Rombauer, Missouri, Pansy was united in marriage to Earl Ray “Jack” Maize Sr. and to this union three children were born. Pansy was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Lesterville, Missouri. She enjoyed spending time with family, making Christmas bells, collecting Precious Moments Figurines, and playing cards with friends and family.
Pansy was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, James and Freddie Hastings, and three sisters, Helen Venable, and Ellen and Ruth Hastings.
Pansy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Jack Maize of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, two sons, Earl “Ray” Maize Jr. and wife Dawn of Springfield, Missouri, and Lester Maize and wife Tracy of Farmington, Missouri, one daughter, Sherry Wethington and husband Carl of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, one brother, Robert Hastings of Georgia, 7 grandchildren, Christina Chandler and husband Allen, Taylor Maize, Takisha Estes and husband Donny, Shawnya Meyers and husband Matt, Parker Maize and wife Morgan, Aaron Maize and Hanna Maize, and 5 great-grandchildren, Austin Chandler, Riley Estes, Jaxon Estes, Lynise Estes and Claire Maize. Pansy will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Visitation was Wednesday, October 20, 2021, 10AM-11AM at McSpadden Funeral Home, Lesterville, Missouri.Funeral followed at 11AM.Minister was Tom Volner.Burial was at Rombauer Cemetery in Rombauer, Missouri. Arrangements by McSpadden Funeral Home, Lesterville, Missouri.
